Configuration Stages

To configure the Siemens DCA Vantage to connect to Relaymed the following configuration stages are required:

  1. Siemens DCA Vantage connection configuration.
  2. DCA Vantage Patient ID and Operator ID configuration.
  3. Add device to Relaymed Software Agent.

*Note* There are instance where you may not get network configuration to work with the DCA Vantage. If this occurs it may be necassary to upgrade the version number to 4.6.0.0.

Stage One: Connection Configuration

Step 1: Using the touch screen press the "Menu" icon.

Step 2: In the menu press "System Settings" followed by "Additional Settings" scroll down and press "Connectivity".

Step 3: On the "Select Connectivity" screen select the following options:

  • "Ethernet"
  • "ASTM"
  • "Automatically Send" - Checked.

Step 4: Press "Configure".

Step 5: Press "Host Name", then enter the Host Name of the DCA Vantage using the on-screen keyboard. Once complete press "Enter".

Step 6: DCA Vantage IP Configuration:

  • To set the DCA Vantage to use DHCP (Automatic IP Address)
    • If labelled "Automatic IP Settings" The DCA Vantage is correctly configured to use DHCP.
    • If labelled "Static IP Settings" press this to change the setting to "Automatic (DHCP)", followed by "Save"
  • To set the DCA Vantage to use a Static IP Address
    • If labelled "Automatic IP Settings", press this to change the setting to "Static", followed by "Save"
    • If labelled "Static IP Settings", The DCA Vantage is correctly configured to use a Static IP Address.
      1. Press "IP address"
      2. Using the on-screen keyboard enter the static IP address to be assigned to the device. Once complete press "Enter".
      3. Press "Subnet Mask".
      4. Using the on-screen keyboard enter the correct Subnet Mask for your network. Once complete press "Enter".
      5. Scroll down and press "Default Gateway". 
      6. Using the on-screen keyboard enter the correct Default Gateway IP address for your network. Once complete press "Enter".

Step 7: Scroll down and press "Remote Computer".

Step 8: Using the on-screen keyboard enter the static IP address assigned to the Relaymed Software Agent host computer. Once complete press "Enter".

Step 9: Press "Port Number",

Step 10: Using the on-screen keyboard enter the port number to be used. Once complete press "Enter".

Step 11: Press "Back".

Step 12: Press "Save" to save and apply the configuration to the DCA Vantage.

Step 13: Press "Home" to return to the DCA Vantage Home screen

Stage Two: Patient ID and Operator ID configuration

To ensure the required information for Auto Processing of a patient test by Relaymed is sent by the device we recommend the following configuration settings:

  • Patient ID: Enabled
  • Operator ID: Enabled (Optional)

Step 1: Using the touch screen press the Menu icon.

Step 2: In the menu press "System Settings" followed by "Additional Settings" and press "Patient Tests"

Step 3: Press "Data Entry"

Step 4: Set "Patient ID" to "Enabled" and "Required"

Step 5: Scroll Down and set "Operator ID" to "Enabled" and optionally "Required".

Note: The Operator ID will be saved with the Patient Test in your EHR if available.

Step 6: Press "Save" to save and apply the configuration to the DCA Vantage.

Step 7: Press "Home" to return to the DCA Vantage Home screen.

Stage Three: Add Device to Relaymed Software Agent
