Configuration Guide

Before you start - Add device to the Relaymed Software Agent

Open the Server / PC where you have installed the software agent on and follow these steps:

Add a device to the Relaymed Software Agent

Back to the device - make sure it's plugged in

Step 1: Connect the Lantronix xDirect to the RS232 Port on the rear of the Clinitek Status+

Step 2: Follow the Lantronix xDirect configuration guide to correctly configure the adapter to connect to your network.

Device configuration steps

Connectivity

Step 1: Use the touchscreen to select Instrument Set Up

Step 2: Use the scroll down button to find Instrument Settings, then press Select.

Step 3: Use the scroll down button to find Connectivity, then press Select.

Step 4:
Connectivity Platform >> Disabled 

Allow results to be sent to PC* >> Enabled
*Label can also say: "Automatically send results to Laboratory Information System"

Click Next.

Step 5: Select Serial Connection and then Edit serial settings.

Step 6: Set the Baud Rate to 9600, then select Next

Step 7: Set the Parity to None, then select Next.

Step 8: Set the Stop Bits to 1, then press Done to save the configuration.

Step 9: Press Done on the next 4 screens until you return to the main menu.

 

Device Date and Time Settings

Step 1: Use the touchscreen to select Instrument Set Up

Step 2: Use the scroll-down button to find Date and Time Settings, then press Select.

Step 3: Select "Choose Format".

Step 4: Set the Date Format to "MM-DD-YY"

Step 5: Set the Time Format to either "12-Hour" or "24-Hour"

Step 6: Select Done.

Step 7: Verify the Date and Time are correct, then select "Set" to save the configuration

 

Patient ID and Operator ID Configuration

Go to "Instrument Set Up" > "Operator and Patient Information" > "Custom Set Up"

  • Operator Id: Enabled
  • Operator Name: Disabled
  • Patient Id: Enabled
  • Patient Name: Disable
  • Choose which to record during a strip test: Color and Clarity

Press "Done" to save the configuration.

 

Almost Done!

All that's left is to test the connection. From the main menu do the following:

  1. Select the Recall Results option
  2. Select most recent result
  3. Hit Done when finished
