Configuration Guide

Configuration Stages

To configure the Roche Urisys 1100 to connect to Relaymed the following configuration stages are required:

  1. Roche Urisys 1100 connection configuration.
  2. Lantronix xDirect Adapter Configuration
  3. Add device to Relaylink.
  4. Optional - Roche Urisys 1100 Patient ID and Operator ID configuration
    • Note: These should only be enabled if a Keyboard or Barcode Reader is connected to the device.

Stage One: Connection Configuration

Step 1: From the Urisys 1100 "Run Test Screen", select the "Menu" option.

Step 2: From the "Main Menu" select the "Setup1" option.

Step 3: From the "Setup 1 Menu", select the "Modes" option.

Step 4: From the "Modes Menu", select the "Interf." option.

Step 5: From the "Interface Menu", select the "ASTM" option.

Step 6: On the "ASTM Interrface" settings screen ensure it is set to:

 LINE : 9600 8 N 1

  • If any of the values are different: 
    • Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the Baudrate to "9600" then select "Next"
    • Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the Length to "8" then select "Next"
    • Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the Parity to "N" then select "Next"
    • Use the "+" and "-" buttons to set the Stopbits to "1".

Step 7: Press the Blue "Start" button to save the settings and return to the "Run Test Screen"

Stage Two: Lantronix Configuration

Step 1: Connect the Male-to-Male Null Modem adapter to the RS232 port on the rear of the Roche Urisys 1100.

Step 2: Connect the Lantronix xDirect to the Male-to-Male Null Modem adapter.

Step 3: Follow the Lantronix xDirect configuration guide to correctly configure the adapter to connect to your network.

Stage Three: Add Device to Relaylink

To add the Roche Urisys 1100 to the Relaylink follow the Add Ethernet device to Relaylink guide

Stage Four: Patient ID and Operator ID Configuration (Optional)

Patient ID:

The Patient ID feature is enable by attaching a Keyboard or Barcode Scanner to the Roche Urisys 1100, and the ID is enter before running the test.

Step 1: From the Urisys 1100 "Run Test Screen"  using the attached Keyboard enter the Patient ID and press enter, or scan with the Barcode reader.

Step 2: Run the Test as normal.

Step 3: The Patient ID is automatically transmitted to Relaymed with the test results.

Operator ID:

Note: A Keyboard or Barcode Scanner is required to enter Operator ID on the Roche Urisys 1100, and must be attached before enabling Operator ID.

Step 1: From the Urisys 1100 "Run Test Screen", select the "Menu" option.

Step 2: From the "Main Menu" select the "Setup1" option.

Step 3: From the "Setup 1 Menu", select the "Setup2" option.

Step 4: From the "Setup 2 Menu", select the "Setup3" option.

Step 5: From the "Setup 3 Menu", select the "Op. ID" option.

Step 6: On the "Operator ID" settings screen select the "On" option.

Step 7: Press the Blue "Start" button to save the settings and return to the "Run Test Screen"

Step 8: When prompted  enter your "Operator ID" using the attached Keyboard or Barcode scanner.
