Configuration Guide

Configuration Stages

To configure the Quidel Solana to connect to Relaymed the following configuration stages are required:

  1. Quidel Solana connection configuration.
  2. Quidel Solana LIS configuration.
  3. Add device to Relaylink.

Stage One: Connection Configuration

Step 1:  From the Solana's Home Screen select "System".

Step 2: From the "System" menu select "Settings".

Step 3: From the "Settings" menu select "Device settings".

Step 4: From the "Device Settings" menu select "Network configuration".

Step 5: On the "Network configuration" menu select "LAN".

Step 6: Quidel Solana IP Configuration: 

  • To set the Solana to use "DHCP", on the "LAN" Configuration screen select "Dynamic IP". Then continue to Step 7
  • To set the Solana to use "Static IP", on the "LAN" Configuration screen select "Static IP".
    1. Select "IP address" field.

    2. Using the on-screen keyboard enter the IP Address to be used by the Solana followed by the Return Key to save the IP address.

    3. Select "Subnet mask" field.

    4. Using the on-screen keyboard enter the Subnet mask to be used by the Solana followed by the Return Key to save the IP address.

    5. Select "Default gateway" field.

    6. Using the on-screen keyboard enter the Default gateway to be used by the Solana followed by the Return Key to save the IP address.

Step 7: To Save the configuration select the "Green Check Mark", this will return you to the  "Network configuration" menu.

Stage Two: LIS Configuration

Step 1:  From the Solana's Home Screen select "System".

Step 2: From the "System" menu select "Settings".

Step 3: From the "Settings" menu select "Device settings".

Step 4: From the "Device Settings" menu select "Network configuration".

 On the "Network configuration" menu select "LIS Server".

Step 5:  On the "LIS Server" configuration screen ensure the LIS is set to "On"

Step 6: On the "LIS Server" configuration screen select the "Server IP" field.

Step 7:  Using the on-screen keyboard enter the IP Address of the Relaylink host, followed by the Return Key to save the IP address.

Step 8: On the "LIS Server" configuration screen select the "Server Port" field.

Step 9:  Using the on-screen keyboard enter the  enter the port number to be assigned to the device in the Relaylink, followed by the Return Key to save the port number.

Step 10: The "Listener Port" field, is not required for communication between the Solana and the Relaylink and can stay as the default value.

Step 11: Set the "Auto Order Nbr" to "On"

Step 11:  To Save the configuration select the "Green Check Mark Button", this will return you to the  "Network configuration" menu.

Step 12: To Return to the Solana Home Screen select the "Red X Button"

Stage Three: Add Device to Relaylink

To add the Quidel Solana to the Relaylink follow the Add Ethernet device to Relaylink guide
