Handling Test Results for Protected or Confidential Patients in Veradigm EHR and Altera TW
Some patients in your EHR may be marked as protected or confidential, which can prevent their test results from being automatically sent from Relaymed. This article explains how to ensure the Relaymed Automation User has the appropriate permissions so that results for these patients flow correctly.
When test results from Relaymed are not being delivered for protected or confidential patients, it’s usually due to insufficient permissions in your EHR system. Ask your EHR team to review and update the permissions assigned to the Relaymed Automation User.
Once the Automation User has the proper access, results from Relaymed should flow normally for these patients.
From the EHR support team:
Access to hidden or confidential patients requires the user to have the appropriate permissions and associated security groupings. If the user lacks these privileges, the patient will not appear in search results. Coordinate with the client practice to confirm or adjust user permissions as needed.
