Step 0: Before you start

1. Make sure you have a Lantronix xDirect232 - Serial to Ethernet Convertor 
2. Make sure you have current Relaymed Software version. You can Download it here.

Step 1: Add device to the Relaymed Software Agent (RSA)

To add the Drew D3 to RSA follow the Add Ethernet device to Relaymed Software Agent guide

Step 2: Connect device to the network

• Connect the Lantronix serial to the device
• Connect the Lantronix ethernet to your network

Lantronix settings

Follow the instructions here to set up set the Lantronix Serial settings.

Step 3: Setup the device

1. From the Main menu, select AUXILIARY > ADVANCED > COMMUNICATION
2. In Communication screen, tick the option HOST SERIAL
3. Select the format ASTM
4. From the COMMUNICATION screen choose SERIAL PARAM
5. Make sure the following are set:
   1. Format: ASTM
   2. Baud Rate: 9600
   3. Data Bits: 8
   4. Flow Control: None
   5. Parity: None
   6. Stop Bits: 1
   7.  Auto Transfer

Step 4: Send a test through

To verify the setup works send a test from the device to Relaymed.
