Configuration Guide
Before you start - Add device to the Relaymed Software Agent
Open the Server / PC where you have installed the software agent on and follow these steps:
Add a device to the Relaymed Software Agent
Configure the Host Communication Settings
Step One: From the Cepheid GeneXpert Xpress Login screen enter the Operator ID and Password for a "Admin user"
Note: The username and password that came with the device should be in the manual for the unit.
Step Two: While on the Main Menu press the "Admin" button.
Step Three: From the Admin panel, press the "Host Communication Settings" button.
Step Four: From the Host Communication Settings page, press the "Edit" button.
Step Five: On the "Host Communication Settings" screen configure the following options:
- Host Communication:
- Select "ASTM"
- Communication Settings:
- Host ID: Can be anything
- Run Xpress As
- Client
- Port - Relaylink port designated
- Service IP Address - Internal IP Address of the host where Relaylink is installed on
- Client
- Host Settings:
- Automatic Result Upload
- Use Instrument Specimen ID
Note: You will receive a Host Disconnected error if you have not added the device to the Relaymed Software Agent yet.
*Note: The user will need to enter the Patient MRN in the Specimen ID when prompted on the Cepheid when running a test*
Then Select "Confirm" to save the settings.
Stage Three: Configure Host Test Code Settings
Step One: From the Admin screen select "Host Test Code Settings"
Step Two: From the Host Test Code Setting page select the Assay names you would like to enable:
Step Three: On the Assay name you would like to enable, press the "Enabled" button.
- Host Test Code: We usually set this as the tests name
- Result Test Code: Arbitrary numbers can be input for each line, but each line needs a number.
Step Four: Hit the "Confirm" button at the bottom to save the settings.
Stage Four: Verify that results send over
Step One: From the Main Menu click the "Results" tab
Step Two: Click on any of the results you have on the screen.
Step Three: Click the "Upload" button to send the result out to the Relaymed portal.
If you received an Uploaded: Yes response, then you have successfully pass that result over to the Relaymed Portal.
