Cepheid GeneXpert
Configuration Guide
Please note - configuration steps may differ slightly between the GeneXpert (Dx) and the GeneXpert Xpress (Xpress software). Please see doc attached we got from Cepheid for reference.
Before you start - Add device to the Relaymed Software Agent
Open the Server / PC where you have installed the software agent on and follow these steps:

Stage One: Set up for PC communication
- The supplied Cepheid laptop can be logged in using these credentials:
- Username: Cepheid-Admin
- Password: cphd
- Open GeneXpert Dx software:
Software is usually open (wait a few seconds). If not, open it via start menu or desktop shortcut. - Navigate to Setup > System Configuration > General
- Make sure "Use Patient ID" option is ticked:

- Navigate to Setup > System Configuration > Host Communication Settings
- Make sure all settings are as in the below screenshot:
- Protocol: ASTM
- Run Host as: Server
- Server IP Address: Relaymed software agent server / PC static IP
* If the software agent is installed on the same laptop use localhost IP: 127.0.0.1 - Port: Port given on the software agent
- Host Test Code: User should assign friendly names to each test (analyte). Click "Edit" and enter Result Test Code.
- Note: IF the test you are trying to run is not in HOST TEST CODE you will have to call the manufacturer to get it enabled

Note: The Windows Firewall requires UDP/1270 to be opened.
