Beckman Coulter Act Diff and Diff 2 

Configuration Guide

Before you start

This guide is suitable for the setup of both Beckman Coulter Act Diff and Beckman Coulter Act Diff 2 Hematology Analyzers.

Important: Please note that this device cannot support patient MRNs which start with zero/s. Patient MRN should be entered to the sample ID field when running the test.

Stage One: Connection Configuration

Step 1: From the Ac T Diff 2 "Main Menu" select the "Settings Menu" Icon.

Step 2:  From the Ac T Diff 2 "Settings Menu" select the "Transmission Settings" Icon.

Step 3: On the "Transmission Settings" page verify the following options are configured:

  • Transmission: Enable Host
  • Baud Rate: 9600
  • Data Bits: 8
  • Stop Bits: 1
  • Parity: None

Step 4: Select the "Save" Button to apply the settings and exit the "Transmission Settings" page.

Step 5: Press the "Return Arrow" Button to return to the Ac T Diff 2 "Main Menu".

Step 6: To connect to the Network connect the Lantronix xDirect adapter to the AcT Diff 2 and an available Ethernet Port.

Stage Two: Lantronix Configuration

Step 1:   Connect the Lantronix xDirect to the directly to the RS232 Port on the rear of the AcT Diff 2.

Step 2: Follow the Lantronix xDirect configuration guide to correctly configure the adapter to connect to your network.

Stage Three: Add Device to Relaylink
