Allscripts Professional EHR Custom Order Types
Create Custom Order Type in Allscripts Professional EHR
This guide is to help with the creation of order types within the Allscripts Professional Environment. This guide is to help those who are getting errors on the queue or within the myrelaymed portal when setting up test types.
1. Open the Allscripts Professional Clinical Module
2. On the far right side of the environment, locate the Launch button and click it.
3. Locate the Clinical Customization Module within the options given. Another window will open, bringing up the Clinical Customization Module.
4. Here is what the Clinical Customization Module should look like.
5. Select Catalogs > Lab Catalog
6. Select the + symbol > Add Panel
7. A new window will open that will allow you to set up custom order types where you can set the panel name of the EHR Order Type to show up appropriately on the MyRelayMed portal.
8. Set the CPT code that is used to charge the patient
9. Set the LONIC code for the specific tests
10. Set the panel ID to the same as the CPT Code
11. Set the Panel name to your facility's custom name that will allow providers to identify the correct type of test and where the results should go. In our example we have Influenza A + B as the test and (RELAYMED) as the identifier of where the results will go.
12. Click OK to save the settings
13. Go back to the + Symbol > Add Test
14. This information needs to almost match the one we set up for the Lab Panel except for the test name.
15. When you have the tests you want to run within that specific panel. We need to map it, to map it we need to add it to the panel. Go back to the panel created so in our example we created the Influenza A + B (Relaymed) > Click on Test
16. Click update to add the Lab Tests for this panel
17. In the search box, search for the tests you set up and double click on them to add them to the bottom to be mapped to the panel.
After you have successfully done all of this, the next step is to add the test type to the Relaymed Portal for the device you are testing with.
