Adding a Device to Software Agent
An overall guide on how to get a device set up on the Relaymed software agent.
Step 1 - Locating Software Agent
Your software agent is located on a server/workstation that is usually kept up and running. This is an application that is physically installed on one of the above machines mentioned and not to be confused with the myrelaymed.com portal. You should see a list of all your devices that are currently configured for use with Relaymed.
Step 2 - Adding Device to Software Agent
Once you've found the software agent you should see an option to click "Add Device". This will bring up a separate window to select your manufacturer.
From here you can select your device manufacturer and the device associated.
After you have selected a manufacturer and device, you will need to input the following fields:
Name: This will be how you identify the device on the portal. It is helpful to use an easy and distinguishable naming convention to help differentiate between your devices. This is helpful if you have multiple of the same device or devices in other locations.
Serial Number: This will be the serial number of the device you are adding. If the Serial number isn't readily available you may choose to use the devices MAC address. If neither of these are readily available use a unique and recognizable serial for each device you add.
TCP Port: This will be a unique value for each device you configure and will range from 1025 - 65535. You can select any value between the range listed above.
**Note: If you are adding a device via USB/Serial you will not have an option to add a TCP port as the device is communicating via USB, not your network. See image below**
Step 3 - Confirming Connectivity
After you've added your device, you should see the connected column light up with a green check mark. If you don't see a green check mark you may see a time stamp under last communication.
You can also attempt to transmit a test from your configured device to verify connectivity as well.
